INFORMATION
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The bouldering gym is a sports facility– not a playground!
Children under the age of 14 are only permitted to use the children’s area. The majority of the gym is designated for adults or youth training groups which are guided and supervised by trainers. Children and minors under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult (18+) at all times.
Be aware of your surroundings!
Falling or jumping off the wall is part of bouldering and completely normal. Due to different angles walls and dynamic movements, most people won’t fall straight below the route but will tumble farther away. For this reason, please be aware of climbers on the wall while you’re on the mat. Always look at the wall you’re passing by.
No objects on the mats:
Falling on bottles or mobile phones can hurt and can cause injuries. So please only bring what’s necessary onto the mat. All you need are your climbing shoes and chalk.
Clean boulders provide better grip:
The abrasion of the climbing shoes and chalk from the hands scuff the handholds and footholds quickly. They can get slippery fast and lose grip. A small brush is part of the standard equipment a boulderer uses. You can purchase a brush at our front desk. Otherwise, you will find longs brushes around the climbing area to reach and clean higher boulders.
Finishing a boulder:
Most boulders end at the top-hold. If the top-hold is marked, the route of the boulder ends there, and you may climb or jump down. In some of our gyms you will find routes where a top-out is possible, meaning you simply climb over the edge to finish. In this case the end of the boulder is not marked by a label. In all other cases, never climb over the edge.
